It's actually beginning to feel like fall.. well sort of.

Happy Hump Day y'all! I can literally see the weekend right around the corner and it can't come soon enough. I love the weekends as that is "me time" to work on whatever project or activity I feel like doing. I love tailgating for the Hawkeyes, but I also love being able to go home and spend time with my mama and Felix (seriously the best kitty ever, even though I am biased). This weekend I plan to do just that. A lot of relaxation, hopefully, and quality time with my favorite people. Looking ahead at the weather I am starting to get excited as we are actually beginning to see fall weather! Yay!

I don't know about you, but I think it is kind of pointless to have hot weather still in October when I can't sit by a pool. What am I supposed to do with it, besides sweat on my walk to class?? That's probably TMI, but seriously. Looking ahead and seeing weather in the 50s has me all sorts of excited for fall. (Doing my little kid excited dance right now). Whenever I think of fall and clothes I automatically think of plaid. I don't know if it's because I was raised in Southern Iowa or what, but whenever the weather starts to get a little chillier I just want to wrap up in a plaid shirt and sit by a fire with a good book (by the way Chip Gaines' new book Capital Gaines just came out yesterday and I snagged a copy! I'll let you know how it is in a future post :)) or a good movie, like the new Pirates of the Caribbean, which if you follow me on snap you know I love. This look has fall written all over it and includes many of my favorite fall trends such as, plaid, furry vest, and ankle booties. I am obsessing over ankle booties this fall. So adorable. Outfit Details:

Shirt. This plaid shirt is one of my favorites. I love the colors in it and feel that it is the perfect snuggle up with a good book shirt, ha! I got it on sale at Younkers last year, get this in the men's department. Yup, it's a guy's shirt, but hey you gotta do what you gotta do!

Vest. So cozy. This furry vest is perfect for a chilly fall day. It keeps you all sorts of cozy and is super cute in doing so. I have worn it before as dressier with a black pair of jeans and a black shirt with over the knee boots, which was super cute as well. I really like the more casual look here though, and would highly recommend one for this fall as they can be worn with many different outfits.

Jeans. As you guys have heard me say before these are my most favorite jeans of all time. I got them on sale in August at Express. I could seriously swear by these jeans. They are so flattering and their high waisted, which I can't seem to get enough of. Express recently had a sale of 40% off everything so I hope you guys took full advantage of that.. I know I did :)

Ankle booties. AHHHH. I love these. I have been obsessing over finding the perfect pair of ankle booties. I see so many cute ones on my favorite bloggers and so forth, but could not seem to find the perfect pair for myself. I wanted something that was affordable, yet was classy enough as well. These are perfect. They are dressy with the pointed toe, but are not too dressy where I feel like I'm going out for the night with friends instead of going to class. I have worn them the past two days and seriously love them. They are the perfect combination of dressy and casual.
